Privacy Policy

Camber is a photo-driven social space built around nighttime scenes, atmosphere, and saved visual collections. This page explains what information may be gathered when people use the app, how that material supports app functions, and what choices users have regarding their data.

1. Data Collection

Information received through Camber generally falls into a few categories. Account details may include items such as a username, email address, profile content, and any materials a user chooses to submit while participating in the app.

Because Camber centers on sharing and saving nighttime photography, uploaded images, captions, favorites, archive activity, and related interactions are part of the content handled by the service. Basic technical records may also be generated, including device type, operating system version, app diagnostics, crash reports, approximate region derived from network activity, and usage events that help keep features working as intended.

  • Photos and related post content may be accessed when a user chooses to upload or save images through the app.
  • Location-related information may be requested if a feature depends on regional context, geotagging, or location-based display, though precise location is only used when permission is granted.
  • Contacts access is not required for ordinary use of Camber unless a future optional feature clearly asks for it first.
  • General third-party SDKs may be integrated for hosting, analytics, diagnostics, security review, notifications, or support workflows.

Camber does not rely on hidden background harvesting of personal content. When sensitive device permissions are requested, they are tied to a visible feature in the app and remain subject to the settings a user selects on their iPhone.

2. Data Usage

The information handled by Camber supports core social and account functions: creating profiles, displaying posts, helping users browse public content, maintaining personal saved archives, securing accounts, and resolving technical issues.

Some records are also used to improve reliability, measure feature performance, prevent abuse, and understand how the app is being used at a broad level. If Camber introduces announcements, product updates, or limited promotional messages, contact details may be used for those communications where allowed by law or user preference.

Data may be shared with service providers operating on Camber's behalf when that sharing is necessary for infrastructure, moderation tools, storage, fraud prevention, analytics, customer support, or legal compliance. Camber does not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of that term. If any future data practice would materially expand advertising or marketing use, the policy and any required disclosures would be updated before that change takes effect.

3. Data Storage & Security

App content and associated records may be stored on servers or cloud systems used to operate the service. Depending on infrastructure needs, those systems may be located in more than one jurisdiction.

Protective measures can include encrypted connections, access controls, role-based internal permissions, logging, monitoring, and reasonable safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, or misuse. No platform can promise absolute security, but Camber applies practical steps appropriate to the nature of the service.

Retention periods vary according to the category of information. Account records, user-posted content, and saved archive materials may remain available until a user deletes them or closes the account, unless longer retention is needed for dispute resolution, safety enforcement, legal obligations, or backup restoration cycles.

4. Third-Party Services

Camber may depend on outside vendors to deliver portions of the experience behind the scenes. These providers can assist with cloud hosting, database management, media delivery, customer support, analytics, notifications, fraud detection, content moderation, and crash reporting.

Those third parties receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their assigned functions and are expected to handle it under contractual, technical, or legal restrictions that fit the service they provide. Their own privacy terms may apply when they process information on their systems.

5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where a user lives, privacy laws may provide specific rights regarding personal information. These can include the ability to request access to stored information, ask for corrections, request deletion, limit certain processing, or object to particular uses.

  • Users may request a copy of personal information associated with their account.
  • Users may ask for inaccurate or outdated details to be corrected.
  • Users may request deletion of account information or user-submitted materials, subject to legal or operational exceptions.
  • Users may opt out of certain non-essential communications or, where applicable, exercise rights related to sharing or processing under regional law.

Requests can be sent to support@camber.com. Camber may need to verify identity before completing a request, and some records may be retained where permitted or required by law, security needs, or legitimate internal business purposes.

6. Children's Privacy

Camber is intended only for adults and is not designed for children under 18. The app, its content model, and its community features are meant for users who are at least 18 years old.

Camber does not knowingly gather personal information from children under 13 and does not knowingly permit minors under 18 to use the app. If it becomes apparent that information from a child or underage user has been submitted, reasonable steps may be taken to remove the account and delete the relevant information in line with applicable law, including COPPA-related obligations where they apply.

7. Policy Updates

This policy may change from time to time as the app develops, legal requirements shift, or operational practices evolve. Updated wording may appear on this page at any time, and the effective date at the top will show when the latest revision became active.

If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, Camber may also provide notice through the app, by email, or through another reasonable communication channel when appropriate.

8. Contact Information
